The Registered Nurse (Telephone Care) serves as part of the team providing quality healthcare to El Rio patients. The incumbent promotes the mission and vision of El Rio Community Health Center through collaborative interdisciplinary team work to provide high quality nursing care, patient safety and care management in order to optimize health and minimize the use of tertiary care services. In this role, the Registered Nurse (Telephone Care) provides patient care, both clinical and non-clinical within the scope of practice for a Registered Nurse under the Arizona State Board of Nursing and policies and procedures set by El Rio Community Health Center; applying the nursing process. The Registered Nurse (Telephone Care), collaborating with the physicians and interdisciplinary team members, provides physical and psychological support to patients and their families. The Registered Nurse (Telephone Care) in this position routinely works independently and with minimal supervision or review of the Manager (Care Coordination) at an assigned work site which may, or may not, be onsite to an El Rio Community Health Center facility. For any work problems involving departures or deviations from scope of practice, standard policies, interpretations, or procedures the Registered Nurse (Telephone Care) will consult with the supervisor and/or assigned Provider for direction or a resolution. In all other cases the incumbent will normally be making independent decisions on developing solutions and resolutions to problems, issues, or situations that arise within the assigned areas of responsibility.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have three to five years’ experience in a fast paced clinic setting with referral experience to be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. ? A Degree or Diploma as a Registered Nurse from an accredited school of nursing.
? Minimum of two (2) years experience with telehealth and telephonic nurse triage.
? Preferred: previous nursing experience in: Emergency Department, Critical Care, Intensive Care Unit, or Medical Surgical environments.

? Current Registered Nurse license in good standing from Arizona Board of Nursing
? Current Healthcare Provider CPR certification
? Certification in any, or all, of the following areas is preferred:
        o Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP),
        o Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS),
        o Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).

Max Hiring Rate: $34.35
